Shredder Machine Components

Double-Shaft Shredder Boxes & Cutting Chambers

Welded steel cutter boxes and chamber assemblies for twin-shaft shredder builds, replacement work and custom machine integration.

The housing is specified around the shaft layout, cutter geometry, feed opening, mounting and drive arrangement. Send a drawing, old chamber photos or machine details before quotation.

Double-shaft shredder housing with twin cutter shafts and steel chamber

A cutting chamber is part of the complete shredder system

The housing, shafts, cutters, bearings, drive and discharge arrangement must be reviewed together before a replacement or new build is specified.

01 / Chamber function

Hold the twin-shaft cutter set

The chamber provides the main body around the two parallel shafts and the working space where cutters engage bulky feed.

02 / Interface points

Connect the parts around it

Feed opening, shaft ends, bearing seats, mounting faces and discharge geometry affect how the housing fits the rest of the machine.

03 / Configuration

Build from the actual machine duty

Dimensions, cutter stack, shaft center distance and drive arrangement should follow the machine drawing, sample or approved working specification.

Housing and cutter-box details

The supplied reference images show several chamber, cutter, shaft and drive arrangements. They are product references, not one universal assembly.

What the housing package may include

Confirm the supply boundary before quotation so the chamber is not confused with a complete shredder machine.

Housing body

Welded steel chamber

The source images show fabricated steel bodies with a rectangular cutter opening, external mounting faces and repeated bolt-hole patterns.

Cutter side

Twin shafts and knife stack

The shaft and cutter arrangement is selected together; blade count, profile, spacing and clearance are not universal values.

Drive side

Reducer and motor interface

Some references show gear reducers and motors. Their model, quantity and power belong to the matched machine configuration.

Custom scope

Drawing or sample based work

Send chamber dimensions, shaft layout, cutter photos or a drawing when the existing housing must be replaced or adapted.

Reference configurations from the supplied parameter sheet

The table below is transcribed from the supplier reference image. It describes a range of double-shaft shredder configurations, not one fixed housing SKU.

Specification boundary: the folder title mentions “160”, but the supplied parameter sheet starts at 600 and does not show a 160 configuration. The final model, cutter size, motor/reducer combination, dimensions and capacity must be confirmed from the actual drawing, machine model and working condition.

Choose the chamber around the material and machine duty

A chamber reference can support many shredder applications, but the housing alone does not define throughput or final particle size.

Application 01

Rigid Plastic and Containers

Drums, pipes, molded parts and other bulky plastic feed where the opening, cutter profile and shaft torque must be matched.

Application 02

Rubber, Tires and Cables

Elastic or wrapping materials require a review of cutter engagement, shaft arrangement, clearance and drive demand.

Application 03

Wood and Mixed Industrial Waste

Feed size, moisture, contamination and downstream handling affect the chamber, cutter and discharge configuration.

What we need to match or build a housing

These inputs make the quotation useful and help separate a chamber replacement from a complete machine request.

01

Machine and model

Brand, model, existing machine photos and whether the project is a replacement or new build.

02

Chamber dimensions

Overall length, width, height, feed opening, mounting faces and any available drawing.

03

Shaft arrangement

Shaft diameter, center distance, bearing seats, shaft ends and cutter stack position.

04

Cutter package

Cutter profile, outside diameter, thickness, quantity, spacing and fixing direction.

05

Working material

Material type, largest feed piece, contamination, moisture and target reduction duty.

06

Supply boundary

Housing only, housing with shafts and cutters, or a wider machine package including drive and frame.

From a worn chamber to a matched component

A short confirmation workflow keeps the housing, cutters, shafts and drive package aligned.

Step 01 / Review

Send the machine information

Share the model, photos, dimensions, drawing, cutter arrangement and working material.

Step 02 / Confirm

Define the supply scope

Confirm housing geometry, shaft interfaces, cutter package, reducer/motor scope and inspection points.

Step 03 / Produce and inspect

Make against the approved reference

Production and inspection follow the confirmed drawing, sample or written specification before delivery.

Shredder housing questions

Short answers to the questions that usually affect fit, scope and quotation.

Is this a complete shredder machine?

No. This page is for a shredder housing or cutting-chamber component. Shafts, cutters, bearings, reducers, motors, frame, electrical controls and discharge equipment need to be confirmed as separate or matched scope.

Can you make the “160” model shown in the folder title?

The supplied parameter sheet does not show a 160 configuration, so the number must be clarified first. Send the actual drawing, machine model or measured chamber dimensions before we describe it as a fixed model.

Can you match a chamber without an OEM drawing?

Often a starting review is possible from clear photos, measured dimensions, shaft-end details and the cutter stack. Final production still depends on an approved drawing, sample or written specification.

Are the motor and reducer included?

Not automatically. Some supplied images show drive components, but the motor and reducer model, quantity and mounting belong to the selected machine configuration and should be stated in the quotation scope.

What should I send for a housing quotation?

Provide the machine brand and model, chamber dimensions, shaft center distance, cutter photos, material, feed size, target duty, quantity and the parts you want included.
